Tom Etzel is executive vice president of Corporate Banking for Zions Bank. His division is responsible for the origination of corporate credit, servicing of individual loan portfolios, and developing and deepening corporate relationships. He oversees distinct credit regions throughout the Utah and Idaho footprint. Previously, Etzel was manager of the Corporate Banking Division in the Salt Lake City area which focused on the bank’s largest corporate clients.
The Corporate Banking Division specializes in the analysis, structuring, documentation and closing of large loan transactions for local companies, syndicated corporate deals, owner occupied real estate, project finance, aircraft finance, emerging/venture debt, leveraged/enterprise value lending and others.
Etzel has been with Zions bank since 1986. Prior to joining Zions, he was a banking officer at MBank Dallas.
He graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with an MBA in 1984. He also holds bachelor’s degrees in finance and management from the University of Utah.
Currently Etzel serves on the board of trustees for the Mountain West Capital Network and on the advisory board of the University of Utah golf team.
