Kenny McFarland comes from six generations of farmers, and he’s watched his industry dramatically change. As consumers we want to connect with local food producers and teach our children where our food comes from. This has led to growing interest in supporting farm stands, harvest festivals and agritourism, like McFarland Family Farms.

There’s nothing better than for your kids than to visit a Utah family farm and have them pick out their own pumpkin from the field where it was grown. Come to McFarland Family Farms at 5200 W. 1150 South in Ogden to check out Mac’s Pumpkin Patch. There are multiple varieties of pumpkins, and Kenny says their heirloom pumpkins are especially popular. There’s many color variations, shapes and sizes to choose from, in addition to seasonal décor, like gourds, corn stalks and straw bales. Check out this 150-year-old family farm to find your perfect pumpkin, celebrate the harvest with fresh produce from now until Halloween.

McFarland Family Farms is known for their thriving veggie stand business, with six locations in two counties where they sell sweet corn, onions, winter squash and other produce. This wholesale market is vibrant, which is a focus for Kenny as they sell some of their produce and pumpkins at local grocery stores.
