Ritual Chocolate is providing small batch bean-to-bar chocolate using a technique mixing old European methods with a modern American style.

In their Park City factory, owners Robbie Stout and Anna Davies of Ritual Chocolate, founded in 2010, are handcrafting small batch bean-to-bar chocolate. It’s a technique mixing old European methods with a modern American style, with the difference in the taste. This comes from their ability to retain what they want from the cocoa bean, creating the perfect flavor and texture. Ritual Chocolate is now in 600 locations nationwide, and their team includes 28 associates with two truffle bar/coffee shops in Park City where you can try the chocolate.

One of their newest innovations at Ritual Chocolate is a monthly subscription service where their newest chocolate flavors are sent to subscribers, as they’re being developed. The box includes a letter telling about the origin of the cocoa beans with products that complement the chocolate. They’re at 65 subscribers and growing in just a few months.

Robbie and Anna are so dedicated to creating the best chocolate, they fly around the world to personally visit farmers they buy cocoa beans from, in Belize, Mexico, Madagascar and Ecuador. They pay a premium price for cocoa beans, with the incentive of creating a higher-quality finished product. The proof is in the taste of the Ritual Chocolate bar, which is contributing to Forbes recognizing Utah for having some of the top artisan chocolate in the country.
