Speaking on Business: REA Architecture
REA Architecture provides design and construction drawings
This is Chris Redgrave for Zions Bank Speaking on Business.
Not everyone can say the dream job from their childhood is now reality, but Rand Eardley of REA Architecture can. He always knew he wanted to be an architect, so it’s no surprise he’s been the owner of REA Architecture in Salt Lake City for 31 years. He still loves the rush of seeing something go from an idea to a drawing to a building people use every day. He says 2018 was the best year yet for his successful architecture firm because of their work with federal contracts, especially with the Department of Defense and Hill Air Force Base.
REA Architecture provides design and construction drawings and then uses their sophisticated 3D modeling equipment to take the design from a drawing to a constructed element so the client understands what the completed building will look like. If it’s a design/build project, they work with HHI in Ogden and J & J Worldwide Services to complete it. REA Architecture’s work can be seen in residential, commercial and medical projects.
Rand has grown REA Architecture to a team of 6 with a business model he can stay connected to as long as he wants. Most of their work is federal contracting, keeping their workload steady, since REA is designated as the designer of record because of their high-quality work.
