Online sales are the major driver for retail shopping today. While sisters and business partners Fernanda and Vivien Bohme have steadily increased online commerce for their retail clothing operation Bohme, they still consider brick and mortar clothes shopping as their top sales opportunity. This is the main reason Bohme has 17 women’s boutique clothing stores across five states, with more in development. Idaho has three stores in some of the state’s fastest-growing markets . . . Boise, Idaho Falls and Twin Falls. They’re introducing a new retail concept with more square footage and lounges for customers and employees in store.
Innovation has been critical to the success of Bohme, and Fernanda says one of their latest additions is launching their Bohme brand, with a line of denim to add to the clothing brands they have. Plus, there’s the option for same-day in-store alterations.
Fernanda and Vivien opened their first Bohme clothing store in 2008. They are originally from Brazil and grew up watching their parents work several jobs, which is where these sisters learned their impressive work ethic, and it remains a guiding principle for Bohme today. Bohme has 250 associates with opportunities for growth and management, which is unique for a large clothing retailer.
