Speaking on Business: Ogden Vision Center
Ogden Vision Center is known for their quality patient care which has become a well-established and highly successful business.
This is Chris Redgrave for Zions Bank Speaking on Business.
The doctors at Ogden Vision Center believe eye care is more than selecting the right contact lenses or glasses. They recommend regular comprehensive eye exams for adults and children and focus on getting to know their patients to recommend the most effective treatment. This is no small feat since they’re seeing approximately 3,500 patients per year, but the high patient reviews speak for their quality of care.
Owner Dr. Lincoln Dygert says this focus on patient care has helped them grow into a well-established and highly successful business. They see patients from infants to 100 years old and consider primary care their specialty; however, their expertise extends into treating a range of conditions including glaucoma, cataracts, macular degeneration and keratoconus. And, they offer emergency services 24 hours a day, so you can always reach your eye doctor.
One of the trends they’re observing at Ogden Vision Center is an increase in eye conditions normally seen in the older population coming up in younger eyes, like dry eye, nearsightedness and eye strain, which Dr. Dygert says is a direct correlation to increases in electronic device usage, which causes inflammation in the eyes and dryness. So, they recommend the 20/20 rule, look away for 20 seconds following 20 minutes of screen time.
