The Zions Bank Ogden Marathon takes place May 18, 2019, and registration is open, so you can secure your spot now for the race Runner’s World has named as one of the Top Ten Marathons in the world, not to mention as a USA Track and Field Certified and Sanctioned event, it’s an official qualifier for the Boston Marathon.
This scenic course features an elevation drop of nearly 1,100 feet, so it’s a great choice for first-time marathon runners. The beautiful course starts at 5400 feet where runners see open roads, green fields and a beautiful river. The course progresses around Pineview Reservoir, drops into Ogden Canyon and continues alongside the Ogden River with breathtaking views of pine-covered slopes. Exit the canyon, you’ll run past Dinosaur Park and the Utah State University Botanical Gardens with the race ending on Historic 25th Street in Ogden.
The Zions Bank Ogden Marathon attracts runners from all 50 states and several countries. It’s significant with thousands of volunteers giving hours of their time to produce the event, which includes full and half marathons, relay teams, a 5K and kids run. There’s also the Double Medal option, for those who complete both the Ogden and St. George Marathons and can earn a medal.
