Speaking on Business: Squashworks
Squashworks has everything you need to learn and play squash.
This is Chris Redgrave for Zions Bank Speaking on Business.
Did you know Forbes magazine ranked the sport of Squash the No. 1 healthiest based on calorie burn, cardio endurance, muscular strength and endurance, flexibility and low injury risk? So, if one of your goals for the new year is to get in shape and you’re looking for a great way to do so, why not try Squash? Craig Bennett, owner of Squashworks in Salt Lake City, knows this and has been steadily building a following for this British sport over the last 20 years.
Squashworks has everything you need to learn and play squash, including six courts, two floors of exercise equipment, moveable sidewalls to convert courts for doubles play or aerobics, and a pro shop with all types of equipment and gear.
Players are into the intellectual aspect of following the softer ball which doesn’t rebound as quickly. Not to mention the cross training aspect of Squashworks because of how you move, twist and lunge while also building stamina and speed during a game. Squashworks has a dedicated following at the Salt Lake City club at 225 South 500 East in downtown.
With a juniors program at West High and Rowland Hall, Craig is introducing squash to the next generation with two of his junior players at Squashworks nationally ranked.
