Speaking on Business: Diamond Ticketing
Diamond Ticketing offers an end-to-end software ticketing system that handles ticket sales from start to finish.
This is Chris Redgrave for Zions Bank Speaking on Business.
Today, purchasing tickets online is the norm, with the online ticket market size valued at almost $50 billion. However, when Terry Schmidt and Morgan Leppink started their business, Diamond Ticketing in 1999, they were one of only three people in the country providing an online movie ticketing system. The market was small, but they believed so strongly in the potential of the idea, they bootstrapped their new business, diversified the product selection and watched it grow. This was the first company to provide a barcoded ticket online. Today, Diamond Ticketing is used in venues across the nation.
Diamond Ticketing offers an end-to-end software ticketing system that handles ticket sales from start to finish, which includes their own box office ticketing system. The system acts as the middleman between the venue selling the ticket online and the patron purchasing the tickets, providing all the infrastructure. If any venue or client has an issue, Diamond Ticketing also provides tech support on both ends to make the process as smooth as possible. Their software product allows venues to set their own online convenience fees because they’re billed for the use of the software instead of through ticket sales.
Diamond Ticketing’s wide range of clients includes movie theaters, race tracks, small sporting arenas and local high schools.
