Speaking on Business: Quality Plating
Quality Plating is about the process of putting metals like nickel, chrome, silver or gold on a surface to increase the durability and beauty of an item.

In operating his third-generation legacy family business Quality Plating, Glenn Fassman is using electro-plating techniques that originated with his grandfather, Walther Fassman, in Germany, a country known around the world for this process. Glen’s grandfather ran a highly successful company in Germany for 35 years before he came to the U.S. following World War II. He needed a job but couldn’t find one, so he decided to create his own by opening his own business.
So, in partnership with his son, Walter, Jr., he opened Quality Plating in 1955. Now, with Glenn and sister, Karen, and her son Brandon, the business will head into the fourth generation of family involvement. The workmanship speaks for itself since Quality Plating has completed high-profile jobs like the chandeliers in Grand Central Station in New York City and the stars for the World War II Memorial in Washington, D.C. They are now selling in three states.

Quality Plating does all types of jobs for commercial, industrial, military and private customers, who prefer to work with a local electro-plating company. Glen says the company grows mainly through word of mouth with customers like L3 Communications, Petersen, Inc. and Triumph Gear Systems.
