Speaking on Business: Twin D Environmental Services
Twin D cleans and video inspects over 2.5 million feet of municipal pipe per year.

All cities are operated with an infrastructure of pipes. Over time the pipes age, requiring regular maintenance, which is the specialty for Twin D Environmental Services in Layton. Their work includes cleaning and inspection. This is done with the use of a specialized camera sent underground, supplied by CUES, the world’s largest supplier of underground pipeline equipment. The partnership has been in place since shortly after Twin D was founded 27 years ago.
Brothers Dave and Mark Denny founded Twin D Environmental Services after finding a niche in the market and with complementary skills and experience, they launched the company together. 27 years later Twin D cleans and video inspects over 2.5 million feet of municipal pipe per year, including the city of Fillmore, their very first municipal customer.
In addition to maintenance and inspection, Twin D Environmental Services also performs hydroexcavating or potholing, where they locate underground utilities so you can safely dig around them during construction, which is critically important to a project’s completion. They also maintain land drains, used to drain away groundwater in areas scheduled for development, which is then run into lakes, streams and other bodies of water so it can be recycled.
While Mark is now retired, Dave is bringing Twin D to the next generation with three of his four sons involved.
