In our state, we have a rich cultural background, and organizations like the Italian American Civic League of Utah have been serving hundreds of members while celebrating their Italian heritage since 1927. For the last 4 years this non-profit has been growing their amazing Festa Italiana SLC and their festival has been topping out at 19,000 guests over the two-day event.

Plan on stopping by September 15 or 16 at The Gateway, 400 West 100 South in Downtown Salt Lake City at the north end on Rio Grande Street, with the Festa Italiana opening up both days at noon. Since Alfa Romeo is a title sponsor, you will see these breathtaking Alfa Romeo automobiles and Italian motorcycles on display. Dana Rossi, the president of the Women’s Chapter of the Italian-American Civic League of Utah, said they will have Italian music and Italian art with food booths lining Rio Grande Street.

The Italian-American Civic League of Utah will be showcasing fabulous homemade sausage, pasta and wood-burning pizza ovens to bring you authentic Italian pizza. They will also be hosting a pizza and pasta eating contest if that isn’t enough! After you have a yummy meal, be sure to try famous Italian pastries with Italian coffee and the fan favorite, bellinis, for those who like peaches!
