Speaking on Business: CentraCom
CentraCom has one of the largest fiber backbones in the state and they’re growing consistently every year.
This is Chris Redgrave for Zions Bank Speaking on Business.
When running a generational business with over 100 years of history and a team of 115 employees, it’s critical to find ways to innovate, follow trends and establish yourself in the community, especially if you’re serving rural markets. And that’s what CentraCom, headquartered in Fairview, is working to provide with their telecommunications company, which offers phone, internet, cable TV and ethernet services statewide through their fiber-optic network.
With their own construction crews to place the cables and other infrastructure, they keep strict control on cost, quality and project completion and have 6 active crews almost every day. CentraCom has one of the largest fiber backbones in the state and they’re growing consistently every year. Eddie Cox who is running this operation with his cousin, Branch Cox, is taking CentraCom from a well-kept secret into a known and respected organization because of their investment in expanding the network.
A little over a year ago, the Millard School District had the opportunity for a grant but needed a network upgrade to qualify, and CentraCom installed it in two days. The ability to complete projects quickly has been an important factor for business growth. You’ll now find CentraCom serving many more residential and business customers, and they’re supporting education through their partnership with the Utah Education Network
