Speaking on Business: Blue Clover Therapy
Blue Clover Therapy is dedicated to treating individuals of all ages, with a focus on trauma and eating disorders, especially in kids.
This is Chris Redgrave for Zions Bank Speaking on Business.
Nothing is more important to your quality of life than your health, including mental health. Suicide is on the rise globally with rates increasing 30 percent in the last 20 years in the United States, according to Forbes. That means we need to be willing to have the important and tough conversations, which is the focus for Blue Clover Therapy in Salt Lake City. It opened three years ago, and under the leadership of owner and founder Jessie Shepherd, it’s grown rapidly, with three therapists now on board.
This mental health counseling practice is dedicated to treating individuals of all ages, with a focus on trauma and eating disorders, especially in kids. It’s an unusual combination but one that Jessie feels strongly about. The Blue Clover Therapy team also teaches coping skills and emphasizes self-care to assist on the path to healing with treatment personalized based on the needs of the client.
Jessie started her career working on an ambulance in downtown for 7 years. She handled many medical situations, and this inspired her to make mental health her profession. She feels her background in emergency medicine has been critical in helping her develop empathy and a better understanding of how to effectively help her patients at Blue Clover Therapy.
