Speaking on Business: Inergy Solar
Inergy Solar is providing the most compact portable solar solution on the market, called the Kodiak Solar Generator.
This is Chris Redgrave for Zions Bank Speaking on Business.
Solar represents the future of energy production in Idaho. With abundant annual sunshine, Idahoans are choosing to harness this energy resource, and Idaho Power forecasts residential customers who generate their own power will more than triple over the next five years. Through Inergy Solar, CEO Sean Luangrath (lou-un-grath) is offering an innovative solar solution taking the solar market up a notch.
Inergy Solar is providing the most compact portable solar solution on the market, called the Kodiak Solar Generator. When fully charged, it’s strong enough to support a family of 6 in preparing for an emergency or going off the grid and can power essential appliances, charge your phone and operate medical equipment. Sean says the Kodiak is like taking an entire home solar system and shrinking it down into a 20-pound box. And there’s the option to use renewable sources to charge, like portable solar panels.
Since the product launched four years ago, it’s successfully helped thousands of people. For example, it was used to power critical appliances following Hurricane Harvey for four days until help arrived. Inergy Solar also raised money to send 46 Kodiak generators to families in Puerto Rico who are struggling to get power following last year’s hurricane.
