Speaking on Business: Tsunami
Tsunami is known for high-quality specialty fish and certified Angus beef used in all their dishes.
This is Chris Redgrave for Zions Bank Speaking on Business.
The team at Tsunami understand you don’t need to live on the coast to enjoy fresh seafood. This popular sushi and seafood restaurant is the largest specialty fish buyer in the Mountain West region and brings in fish from around the world, flown into the Salt Lake City International Airport. 16 years after launching, Tsunami is thriving with locations in Sugarhouse, Midvale, South Jordan and Lehi.
Tsunami is known for high-quality specialty fish and certified Angus beef used in all their dishes. They also have an entirely separate gluten-free menu for those with gluten sensitivities. With the exception of soy sauce, they make every sauce in house, including mayo and teriyaki. The California and Jenny rolls are top sellers, with new chef-inspired specialty rolls every week. For dessert, be sure to try the Coconut Glory, a tempura-fried banana served on house-made ice cream drizzled with chocolate and caramel and sprinkled with coconut flakes.
The Tsunami story started with Kris Bodeen and Scott Coulter working together at a sushi restaurant years ago. Both are from back East and shared the vision to open their own sushi restaurant. And in 2002, their dream became reality when they opened Tsunami in Sugarhouse.
