Speaking on Business: Soaplicity
Soaplicity provides all-natural soap, bath and body products that are handcrafted, sustainable and gluten-free.
This is Chris Redgrave for Zions Bank Speaking on Business.
It was through Roshan Richards’ determination to develop all-natural products for her family she created her company, Soaplicity. She was looking for something to help her teenage son with severe psoriasis and created a product so effective, she saw dramatic improvement within three days. This inspired her to make these all-natural products available to everyone, which became Soaplicity.
Soaplicity provides all-natural soap, bath and body products that are handcrafted, sustainable and gluten-free. The collection includes soap, bath and body products, like the Euphoria bar for face and body; Time Warp, a skincare line for mature skin; and Oasis, for severely dry skin, which inspired the business. What sets these products apart is that they’re individually formulated with a purpose beyond cosmetic use. And customers are responding!
It started as an Internet-based side business also sold through farmer’s markets, but the more people tried the product, the more sales increased, and within 9 months Roshan had to choose between her regular job or jump full-time into Soaplicity. So, with her husband TJ, she jumped in, and six years later Soaplicity has a storefront at 93 S. Main Street in Pleasant Grove and is serving customers around the world through online sales.
