Speaking on Business: JulieAnn Caramels
JulieAnn Caramels offers 40 flavors of gourmet caramels.
This is Chris Redgrave for Zions Bank Speaking on Business.
With her company JulieAnn Caramels, Rowena Montoya would say she is taking something old and traditional and twisting it to create something new with amazing flavors. She’s having a lot of fun with JulieAnn Caramels and offers 40 flavors of caramel, from the original to the popular apple caramel with dehydrated apples and cinnamon in it or the fairly new maple bacon caramel that is a top-seller.
Since opening JulieAnn Caramels six years ago, Rowena has watched her business steadily grow, and in addition to offering her caramels at julieanncaramels.com, you can find them locally in Harmon’s, Associated Foods stores and TJ Max. In fact, they’re buying machinery to build a manufacturing plant to meet increasing demand for these delicious and original caramels, which make great holiday or corporate gifts.
Rowena says one of her best supporters for JulieAnn Caramels is her husband, Frank Montoya. They’re both entrepreneurs with their own businesses and, in fact, JulieAnn Caramels started because Rowena was making caramels for Frank to give away at trade shows. She named the company in honor of her aunt who not only helped raise her but also taught her how to make caramels and loves watching her niece succeed.
