If taking a sleigh ride and picking out a fresh Christmas tree is ideal for this holiday season, you should check out Bailey’s Sleigh Rides. This beautiful ranch is in Liberty, Utah, where you’ll ride in a horse-drawn sleigh to pick out the perfect fresh-cut tree, see the herd of elk that live on property and warm up with a cup of hot cocoa in the barn in what could very well become your new holiday tradition.
Eugene and Ruth Bailey operated their dairy farm on this land for over 30 years and wanted a way to continue the farming lifestyle they love. With their herd of horses, some cool sleighs and fresh-cut trees brought in from Oregon, they’ve created a favorite winter tradition with Bailey’s Sleigh Rides. The location just down the street from Wolf Creek Resort has brought in guests from Australia, England and even a family from Russia who all loved the experience.
The Baileys don’t really advertise, so their sleigh rides spread through word of mouth. They keep the price affordable for families at $5 a person, so many people return to Bailey’s Sleigh Rides every year. They offer other activities for families, like wagon rides in the summer and a pumpkin patch in the fall.
Be sure to check out their Facebook page for more information.
