Speaking on Business: Military Internship Program – ID
Through the Military Internship Program, Zions Bank is supporting veterans in finding employment following their military service.
This is Chris Redgrave for Zions Bank Speaking on Business.
Serving our country is a value Idahoans embrace, a reason why over 130,000 people, or 10 percent of the adult population, are veterans. This is one of the highest percentages in the country, and Idaho is focused on taking care of this group.
Zions Bank President and CEO Scott Anderson said, “We rely on the men and women of the armed forces to serve our country and protect our freedoms. We ask them to do this understanding the personal sacrifices they and their families make. And these extraordinary individuals carry out their duties with commitment, discipline, leadership and perseverance. It is Zions Bank’s honor to support our veterans as they work to make both our bank and our country stronger.”
One of the ways Zions Bank demonstrates their commitment is through the Military Internship Program with current job placement at 100 percent. The program includes financial education, mentors, involvement with senior management, executive market experience, job search education, introductions to hiring officials from other companies, networking and community involvement.
Since launching the program, Zions Bank has had over 100 military interns, hired 53 internally and helped place more than 50 outside of Zions Bank. This is an impressive and educated group of individuals, who, through their military experience, have managed budgets in the billions, supervised thousands and served nearly 200 combat tours.
For Zions Bank, I’m Chris Redgrave, speaking on business.
