Speaking on Business: Cody’s Gastro Garage — ID
Cody’s Gastro Garage in Garden City, next to beautiful Bear Lake last year, has been a hit since launching in July 2017.
This is Chris Redgrave for Zions Bank Speaking on Business.
Since launching Cody’s Gastro Garage in Garden City next to beautiful Bear Lake last year, owner Chris Shurian says it’s been a hit! After opening last July, tourists quickly discovered the restaurant, and they were slammed the rest of the season … and now locals have embraced this original restaurant, known for their burgers, fries and excellent desserts. It’s so popular, Chris recently bought the Paris Grill and will be opening a second Cody’s location there this summer.
Before opening Cody’s Gastro Garage, Chris didn’t have restaurant experience, but as an entrepreneur for 30 plus years, he knew to find the right team. So, he worked with restaurant designers to create the concept and found a talented chef to create the menu, testing items for three months before opening.
Cody’s Gastro Garage is known for hamburgers, like the Unbelievable Burger with secret ingredients customers love, great quesadillas and fantastic raspberry shakes, which is important since they’re famous for visitors to Bear Lake. One of the do-not-miss items is the cake, which is 7 inches tall and has 7 layers!
By the way, Cody’s Gastro Garage is named after Chris’ 11-year-old son, Cody, who helped create the theme of hot rods and Harleys. Chris anticipates the Paris location will also be highly successful.
