Speaking on Business: Bestbath
Bestbath’s specialty is high-end, composite shower systems that lead the industry in craftsmanship, design, and innovation.
This is Chris Redgrave for Zions Bank Speaking on Business.
With over 600 shower designs, Bestbath in Caldwell takes tremendous pride in delivering a product that no one else can. Siblings Megan and Jay Multanen, with the support of their Chief Business Officer, Tammy Harris, are proudly taking this family business into the next generation, building on the legacy built by their father and the company founder, Gary Multanen.
This dynamic trio came very close to doubling their business at Bestbath in three years, receiving the Product Innovation Award from Architectural Products Magazine, for their original 90-degree corner shower design. One of the secrets to their success is ongoing leadership coaching and researching processes with peer-to-peer involvement. Megan and Jay work closely with Tammy, the only executive who isn’t a family member. Tammy identified a powerful tribal culture that needed systems and processes, which most likely was a contributing factor to their growth.
Bestbath’s specialty is high-end, composite shower systems that lead the industry in craftsmanship, design, and innovation. They manufacture complete shower systems, shower pans, traditional tub-shower units and walk-in tubs, with custom work as a focus. Their team now includes 170 employees, and they’re running two shifts a day, five days a week. They’re proud of their employee base and strive to create a great place to work.
