Continue Mission organizes events, activities and gatherings for veterans.

After serving two tours of duty in Iraq, Josh Hansen came home to Utah injured and struggling to return to civilian life. He isolated himself and never wanted to do anything … until he realized he didn’t like the direction he was going. And he was certain other veterans were facing the same struggle. So, he was inspired to create Continue Mission, a non-profit organization set up to assist wounded veterans in getting back out in our community.
Continue Mission organizes events, activities and gatherings for veterans. This involves everything from special events to outdoor activities like mountain biking, hiking or canoeing. In fact, the organization is involved in some of the most popular new sports, like pickleball and disc golf. Through his own experience, Josh discovered the key to his recovery was exercise, being in service and proper nutrition, which is the purpose of Continue Mission.
To give an idea of the impact, last year Continue Mission held 160 events and served nearly 2000 veterans and military support members. And in surveys sent out to those who participated with Continue Mission, 92 percent said the organization has had a positive impact on their mental health. Josh’s goal is to continue expanding the organization and reaching out to more veterans.
