Speaking on Business: Park City Chamber/Bureau
Because of tourism success, the Park City Chamber/Bureau markets to year-round guests.
This is Chris Redgrave for Zions Bank Speaking on Business.
In meeting with Bill Malone, President and CEO of the Park City Chamber/Bureau, he’s the first to tell you that tourism in Park City is thriving! This favorite Utah destination is hopping with people who are confident they can have a great time, so Summit County is growing with projects like renovation at Park City Mountain’s Canyons Base Area or doubling the Goldener Hirsh Inn. Visitors and locals alike can’t get enough of Utah’s famous powder at Park City’s two resorts not to mention the extensive trail system, making this a year-round destination.
Bill has been with the Park City Chamber/Bureau for 19 years and before that worked in Jackson Hole and Steamboat Springs, Colorado, so he knows this market and industry. He has watched Park City and Summit County change over his time as CEO and says they’ve focused on keeping the bigger picture in mind, like innovative development as the city’s second home market has grown. Because of tourism success, the Park City Chamber markets to year-round guests.
The Park City Chamber/Bureau’s newest marketing campaign is Winter’s Favorite Town, with a goal is to attract first-time, overnight visitors to Park City. The messaging is focused on promoting a vacation with all amenities including Historic Main Street, Nordic skiing, fat-tire biking, winter fly fishing or visiting Utah Olympic Park.
