Speaking on Business: National Small Business Week
This week is National Small Business Week, designed to recognize the significant contributions of small businesses throughout the U.S.
This is Chris Redgrave for Zions Bank Speaking on Business.
Small business is the lifeblood of the United States economy. More than half of all Americans either own or work for a small business, and they create about two out of three new jobs in the U.S. each year. In recognition of this significant contribution to our state and national economy, this week is National Small Business Week.
Here in Utah, small business is a critical driver, accounting for over 90 percent of all business in the state. And Zions Bank is supporting this business engine as the No. 1 lender of SBA 7(1) loans for the last 24 years. As part of National Small Business Week, which kicks off today, April 30, and runs through May 5, the U.S. Small Business administration is highlighting the extraordinary group by talking about the impact of outstanding entrepreneurs, small business owners and others from all 50 states and U.S. territories who work every day to grow their business, creating more jobs and driving innovation while increasing America’s global competitiveness.
For the first time this year, a virtual conference will be held as part of National Small Business Week. It will include educational webinars, mentoring sessions and business resources, sponsored by some of the big-name businesses.
