Speaking on Business: Chatbooks
Chatbooks are automatic photo books, connected to Instagram, Facebook or your camera favorites.
This is Chris Redgrave for Zions Bank Speaking on Business.
As a society, we love capturing our memories, and in 2017, it’s projected that we’ll take 1.2 trillion photos. So, what do we do with these pictures? Nate and Vanessa Quigley suggest turning them into a Chatbook, a photobook company located in Provo that they founded and operate together.
At Chatbooks, their mission is to help people hold on to amazing memories. Chatbooks are automatic photo books, connected to Instagram, Facebook or your camera favorites. Every time you add 60 photos to a source, it will automatically print a new photo book and ship it to you for $10 with free shipping. There’s one photo per page, and if the photo has a caption, it’ll be included. Nate says the idea is to create a beautiful, white 6-inch photo book automatically that follows your life without giving busy people more steps.
The idea has taken off, especially with millennial moms. Nate says 90 percent of their customers are women and most of those are moms who are active on social media. Their customers love having a way to create a tangible reminder of important moments. Chatbooks is growing and within three years of the company’s launch, they’ve sold millions of Chatbooks and have tripled revenues three years in a row.
