Speaking on Business: Festival of Trees 2017
The Festival of Trees features over 800 trees and hundreds of other auction items to raise money for Primary Children's Hospital.
This is Chris Redgrave for Zions Bank Speaking on Business.
In Utah, we believe in extending a helping hand, one reason we’ve embraced events like the Festival of Trees. This Utah classic is now in its 48th year and was so successful last year every tree sold, and it raised $2.6 million for Primary Children's Hospital.
This year’s Festival of Trees will be held from Nov. 29 through Dec. 2 at the South Towne Expo Center in Sandy from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. You’ll see live entertainment, get pictures with Santa Claus, visit the Kids Korner and check out the Sweet Shoppe to try the Festival’s famous fudge, in 48 flavors.
New this year the bidding process will be done through a mobile app, and you can purchase auction tickets and event tickets, at festivaloftreesutah.org, with a discount for event tickets purchased before Thanksgiving. Event chair Kae Rasmussen says the 2017 Festival of Trees will feature over 800 trees and hundreds of other auction items.
Funds raised at the Festival of Trees benefit Primary Children's Hospital, which is the only full-service children's hospital in the Intermountain West, offering treatment in over 60 subspecialties, from cancer to cardiology.
