This is Chris Redgrave for Zions Bank Speaking on Business.
When asking Jeff Lowe, CEO of Qnergy, why he would leave a great job in an executive position, he said, if you have an innovative product nobody else has…you want to develop and launch it, especially when you know it’s serving the multi-billion dollar energy industry. Qnergy started over three years ago and currently has 32 patents supporting their products.
Qnergy has built upon existing technology to produce an external combustion engine that creates energy at a highly efficient rate. Because the heat source is outside the engine, the inside can be maintained at a high pressure and has few moving components, so it has reliability. It’s also fuel agnostic, meaning anything that creates heat can power the engine. Qnergy’s technology has three main uses; a SmartBoiler that produces hot water and generates electricity; a cost-effective remote power source; and an engine for multiple power uses that you’ll find in use globally.
Qnergy products are being used commercially in hotels, multi-family dwellings and swimming pools and supporting the oil and gas industry. Because of how efficient the products are, the ROI comes quickly, especially in savings on electricity and gas, which is why they’re serving customers around the world.
