It may be hard to imagine, but in its day, Trolley Square, located at 7th East and 6th South, was THE transportation system for Salt Lake City. By the early 1900s there were 144 trolleys and almost 150 miles of tracks. Today, the support and generosity of Khosrow Semnani is literally saving it from becoming a giant storage unit.

When Khosrow took over, you could see his immaculate detail in the cleanliness, fountains, newly-planted trees and flower pots, not to mention the restoration of the famous Trolley Square tower. Trolleys have been a part of Utah’s heritage since 1872, and in the 70s, a Utah family saved the trolley barns. Now we have Mr. Semnani, who is taking it to the next level of fabulous shopping, dining, events and local activities.

Khosrow has exciting plans to support this historic gem, like a boutique hotel and condos to the south of Trolley Square, connecting via the bridge. This charming hotel will have a little over 100 rooms with all amenities of the area.

To support Trolley Square, parking and other services will be increased to welcome visitors to this unique destination shopping center. If you haven’t been to Trolley Square lately, you’ve got to check it out.
