Offering “unexpected luxury,” The Harkness Hotel is a boutique hotel offering unique lodging in beautiful McCammon, Idaho. It’s located only minutes off Interstate 15, close to the world-famous Lava Hot Springs and on the scenic byway to Jackson Hole and Yellowstone National Park.

Many travelers have been excited to discover this gem in a tiny Idaho town with nothing comparable nearby.

Owners Aaron and Arianne Hunsaker say they’re offering something different than a traditional hotel with modern design in a historic building. Their tagline is “Unexpected luxury,” and the high reviews on TripAdvisor, Yelp and Facebook show how much guests love The Harkness Hotel. They also opened a full-service salon and spa, offering massage, skin care, waxing and nail services.

Neither owner had experience in the hotel industry prior to opening The Harkness Hotel, but they’ve put their hearts into the venture. Aaron and Arianne were living in Washington, D.C., where Aaron ran a successful interior design business. When their first daughter was born, they wanted to move closer to family in Utah and Idaho. They discovered a beautiful historic building in McCammon and got to work creating their vision of a stunning hotel.

Three years after its opening, The Harkness Hotel continues to grow in business every year. The owners have worked to maintain the historic nature of the building. A former vault in the lobby is now a gift shop.
