Peter J. Morgan is executive vice president of Specialty Banking Division, responsible for Zions Credit Corporation, Zions AG Finance, Auto Dealer Lending and National Real Estate Department, a nationwide program to originate and purchase commercial real estate secured first mortgage loans in conjunction with the SBA 504 loan program and other similar conventional mortgages. Zions Bank successfully securitized and sold eight small balance commercial real estate securitizations in excess of $3 billion. The Division has 180 employees including sales officers in 12 states. The Division has a $5 billion portfolio under management, and is the nation’s largest secondary market maker for SBA 504 first mortgage loans.
Peter has worked at Zions Bank since 1983, and since 1991 has been involved in financing the needs of America’s small businesses. Peter is a graduate of the Pacific Coast Banking School, Leadership Utah, and holds a Finance degree from the University of Utah and a MBA from Arizona State University. He currently serves, or previously has served on a variety of boards of directors, including University of Utah’s Kingsbury Hall, Utah Shakespeare Festival, Salt Lake City Housing Trust Fund, Mountain West Small Business Finance (CDC), National Association of Government Guaranteed Lenders, Mesa-AZ Visitors and Conventions Bureau and the Mesa YMCA.
Morgan is married with four children, speaks Japanese and enjoys skiing fast, sailing, biking and hiking.
