John Stillings is executive vice president of Commercial Lending for Zions Bank. His division is responsible for the origination of commercial credit, servicing of individual loan portfolios, and developing and deepening corporate relationships. He oversees nine distinct credit regions throughout the Utah and Idaho footprint. He also sits on the bank’s Senior Loan Committee and Executive Committee.
From 1995 to 2000, Stillings was the chief lending officer at Nevada State Bank, a Zions Bank affiliate. Stillings began his career in banking in 1970 in San Francisco with Wells Fargo Bank and has spent most of his years in commercial banking. He has served as the chief lending officer for a company involved in the equipment leasing industry.
He graduated from the University of California at Berkeley with a degree in finance.
Active in the industry, has served as a senior associate for Risk Management Association (RMA), a member of the board of directors for the Lending Management School of RMA, a member of the Governor’s Silicon Valley Initiative Task Force, and as a member of Utah Bankers Association Commercial Banking Committee.
