Web Browser and Operating System Compatibility Notification


 

In the interest of maintaining the highest level of safety and security for our customers' information, Zions Bank will be making security upgrades to our digital systems on Tuesday, June 23, 2020. In the process, we will be upgrading the security of our encryption requirements to the highest level of data security for all online services. 

The upgrade will cause some older browsers and operating systems to become incompatible with our online services. All of our digital systems will be impacted, including our websites, online and mobile banking applications, along with other consumer and business banking tools. Once the upgrade is complete, any affected users will need to take the appropriate action shown below in order to continue accessing any of our systems.

Will the upgrade affect my system?

Your system will not be impacted if your browser and operating system DO NOT APPEAR on the following list of incompatible systems. Your access should continue if your current system is not listed here.

Recommendations for Windows Users (CLick to Expand)

Upgrading to Windows 10 will enable Internet 11 as a viable solution. To upgrade to Windows 10, you may do the following:

  • Visit www.microsoft.com
  • Select Shop Windows 10
  • Select the Windows 10 version you would like and click Shop Now
  • Select whether you would like to Download or Save Windows 10 to a USB-English drive
  • Click Add to Cart and then Checkout
  • Follow any further prompts provided by Microsoft to complete the Windows 10 installation
Recommendation for Mac Users:
  • Go to www.mozilla.org and click Download Firefox to download the installation file
  • Open the file called ‘Firefox.dmg’
  • In the window that opens, find Firefox (this may open by itself and pop open a Finder window containing the Firefox application)
  • Drag Firefox to the Applications folder
  • Hold down the Control key while clicking the window and select Eject “Firefox”

As with all technology services, upgrading your computer software to the latest version as soon as possible is always recommended. Operating systems and browsers no longer supported by their developers can expose you and your device to significant risks and vulnerabilities because your device no longer receives regular updates and security patches that help protect you from dangerous malware. Any personal information and data shared over the internet or stored on your computer may be at risk.
